About Me

Hi, I'm Horatiu Lazea

I'm a Full-Stack Developer with a strong foundation in both frontend and backend technologies. I love building products that are not only functional but also a pleasure to use — clean interfaces backed by reliable, well-structured code.

My stack of choice is React / Next.js on the frontend and Node.js or Spring Boot on the backend, but I'm always exploring new tools and patterns. I care deeply about performance, code quality, and developer experience.

Currently open to full-time roles and interesting freelance projects.

Master's in Cybersecurity

West University of Timișoara

Currently pursuing a Master's degree focused on application security, penetration testing, and DevSecOps. Learning to bridge the gap between software engineering and offensive security to build resilient systems.

March 2026 – Present

Founder & Full Stack Engineer

Cortix

Founded and developed a B2B SaaS. Managed full product lifecycle: from initial architecture (NestJS/Next.js) to cloud deployment, CI/CD, payment integration (Stripe), and successful market launch.

Full Stack Software Engineer

West University of Timișoara

Architected a centralized request management platform. Beyond this flagship project, I developed various custom web solutions from scratch, built complex PHP plugins, and drove multiple digitalization initiatives across university departments.

Spearheaded the redesign and migration of multiple faculty websites using WordPress and deployed an Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, focusing on UI/UX and SEO.
